GDS CLEARVIEW can apply its G-BOND process to any LCD, from any OEM manufacturer, onto display diagonal sizes ranging from 2.5 inches through 65 inches. GDS CLEARVIEW can work with any customer supplied display, including modified display modules.Each display is operationally tested before the bonding process is performed, and retested after process is completed, ensuring consistent top quality workmanship. If there is ever any problem encountered with the G-BOND process, the process can be reversed, allowing for 100% rework / rebuild of the original display module.
G-BOND process is available in GDS CLEARVIEW'S "standard configuration" or customer specified options and tolerances. The standard configuration uses 3.0 mm thick AR coated soda-lime glass laminated over the display's front bezel. The standard glass positioning is centered to the inside bezel edge, with a nominal .25" bezel overlap on all 4 sides. Standard over the bezel bond line thickness is .045" (1.1 mm). Customers may specify any custom glass size and placement location of the front cover glass over the bezel, as well as specify any industry standard glass thicknesses.
Also available is a standard configuration for laminating 1.1 mm or 3.0 mm AR coated soda-lime glass inside the perimeter of the front bezel. In both cases, any specialty fabricated glass, such as etched and ITO coated EMI shielding glass, can be substituted for a small charge. The G-BOND process also works with all types of customer supplied touch panels including resistive, capacitive, acoustic wave (SAW), and projected capacitive touch screens. GDS CLEARVIEW recommends the G-BOND process for all touch panels for optimal viewability of the display in the brightest ambient light conditions. Options for bond line thickness for touch panels range from a minimum of .025" (.6 mm) to a maximum of .135" (3.4 mm) depending on the type of touch screen specified.

Single Prototypes & Samples: For all display sizes up to 15.1", G-Bond process will cost $300. For all display sizes larger than 15.1" - 24" , G-Bond process will cost $500. Sizes larger than 25", call the factory.

Lead-time is 2-4 weeks after the receipt of the customer supplied display. For volume pricing, the order quantities must be released within 6 months. Standard AR coated glass thicknesses are 1.1 mm or 3.0 mm. Special ordered glass is additional cost. Non-standard asymmetric or custom glass placement on the display may require a nominal NRE tooling charge.Additional charges may apply for special applications defined by the customer.
